CHAPTER 8 – Into the Gerudo Valley
Link and Nabooru are horse riding through Hyrule as the orange glow of sunset falls on the land.
N: The Gerudo Valley entrance is just up ahead. You sure you're ready for this?
L: *says nothing but looks determined and Epona races ahead of Nabooru a little*
N: Kid. Keep a cool head. We got to be ready for anything…
They approach the Great Bridge (off their horses with them standing back), the entrance to the Gerudo Valley. Two guards stand on opposite sides of the bridge are surprised and charges at them. They two guards are easily taken out by Link and Nabooru. The two make their way across the bridge.
N: I expected more or a resistance…where are all guards?
As Link and Nabooru are halfway across the bridge, there is a strong swirl of wind and sand that rocks the bridge. After it calmed down they make it to the end of the bridge but immediate notice a figure coming at them from the distance.
A lone figure approaches them and with a swirl of the sand her identity is revealed. It's the same Tatoo'd Gerudo that Link fought in when he first arrived.
TG: If it isn't the kid who thinks he's a hero and the traitor. What business do you have with us?
Link just holds up his sword and shield raring for a fight.
N: We don't have time for you. Stand aside or else.
TG: Oh, is that right?
Just like ninjas, a dozen Gerudos surround them. Some armed with spears and others with bow and arrows. Nabooru and Link look around them being outnumbered.
N: Kid…I hope you have a plan.
Tatoo'd Gerudo: Why don't we let our newest recruit handle the boy? *smile*
With a wave of her hand, the Gerudos make an opening for a small Gerudo figure.
It's Malon. Dressed in purple as a Gerudo spear woman. Her fiery red hair tied up in a ponytail. Her eyes seem almost possessed and clearly do not recognize Link.
N: Who is that? I've never seen her before…
Link holds out a hand to stop Nabooru with a look of "I got this' and holds out his sword and shield as he approaches Malon.
As Link stands facing Malon, he remembers a scene of her singing with Epona and him at Lon Lon.
Malon is the first to make a move. As Malon is relentless with her spear attacks, Link does all he can to defend with his shield and is pushed back on the swaying bridge. After a few moments, Malon creates an opening and Link lunges at her with his 'forward Jump attack'. Unfortunately as he is about to strike, Malon's smiling face appears over the possessed Malon, and he makes a clear miss into the ground. Malon takes advantage of this and manages to knock the sword away Link keeps guarding with his shield but eventually that is also knocked off away.
Malon pushes Link towards the edge of the cliff at spearpoint. With nowhere to turn and not wanting to fight Malon, Link takes one more step back and falls slowly into the water below the bridge. There is a splash where he landed.
N: LIIINNNNKKK!!! *she shouts with one arm out as she looks from the bridge into the water where he fell*

So you may be wondering what this is. A long time ago I wrote a Legend of Zelda fanfiction about what would happen after Majora's Mask when Link finally returned to Hyrule. I had 7 chapters done and when I was looking back at this after years, I had the urge to write more. So here is chapter 8.
I highly suggest you read this from the beginning. Its a light read similar to watching a movie/video game scene.
